This course is delivered by multi agency professionals, working within a virtual CRE team to safeguard children at risk of exploitation.

This course will provide a basic awareness of child exploitation and will recommend research, good practice and further reading to enhance professional understanding and practice with children who are victims of or at risk of exploitation.

Professionals are asked to complete self directed learning prior to attending the course to ensure that there is an understanding of local strategies and procedures and local service offers. 

  • Identify and Safeguard Children at risk of exploitation
  • Understand the Local , Regional and National Picture from a multi agency perspective
  • Understand place and space based risk
  • Understand and use tools to disrupt and support prosecution of offenders
  • Understand referral processes
