Aims and parameters of the DSL network meetings:

Aims

• Support and challenge for DSLs across Derbyshire:
• Share key messages and learning from the DDSCP – education
• Share insights from partner agencies in safeguarding
• Share safeguarding weaknesses/area for development identified by Ofsted inspections
• Share good practice/areas of learning
• Build a network of support and moderation of understanding

Parameters

• The direction of the network will be informed by feedback participants, the Derby and Derbyshire safeguarding children partnership (DDSCP) – education, and the Derbyshire Education Partnership Board (DEPB).
• Currently planning one meeting per half-term, alternating between virtual Teams meetings and face-to-face in-person meetings.
• When in-person, the meeting will be run twice, in a morning and an afternoon of the same day, with a maximum of 100 participants per session.
