This is one of five modules looking at the exploitation of children. These modules can be completed independently or as part of pre-requisite learning prior to completing Level 3 training 'Understanding Child Exploitation', depending on your role.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand what is meant by Modern Slavery, Human Trafficking and the National Referral Mechanism
  • Explore the different types of exploitation in modern slavery
  • Recognise the signs and indicators of modern slavery
  • Have an awareness of how children and young people may be targeted and the impact this has on them
  • Know how to respond to a concern, including making a referral
  • Understand the role of other agencies in preventing, responding and supporting children and young people affected
