Level 4 Training for Headteachers/DSLs, managers and employers
Multi-agency virtual training to raise awareness and develop understanding of managing allegations of abuse against those who work, volunteer or come into contact with children and young people.
Learning Outcomes:
- Identify the behaviours that could lead to an allegation being made
- Identify the difference between care and criminal thresholds when an allegation has been made
- Know the behaviours that indicate a practitioner is unsuitable to work with children
- Know the key roles and responsibilities of other agencies if allegations are made against staff, carers or volunteers
- Understand how to access and apply local policies and procedures
- Understand what decisions or action an employer can take following an allegation – managing the risks in the interim
